Who we are
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (LCR) is a welcoming, grace-centered congregation in Huntington Beach, rooted in the Lutheran tradition and open to people from all walks of life. Wherever you are from, whatever your previous experience, and wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here. This is not a mega church – we value knowing one another by name and walking together in faith. All are welcome at God’s table.
We believe the Church belongs to God, not to us. By grace alone, we are saved through faith, and everything we do begins with God’s love for us. Shaped by that grace, we seek to be an intergenerational community where children are cherished, relationships matter, and people of all ages grow together.
Through two worship services – a traditional service and a contemporary service – along with a dedicated Japanese-language ministry and active engagement in our wider community, we strive to follow Jesus with authenticity, compassion, and joy – living as a community of hope and belonging for all.
