WHAT WE BELIEVE

As a Christian community of faith, we believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and that through a personal relationship with Him we may know both Abundant and Eternal Life!  This comes to us as a gift through the grace of God because we are all sinners and we are eternally saved only because God sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said to His disciples

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

These verses have been called “The Great Commission” and we are empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to share the Good News of Jesus to a waiting world.

OUR PURPOSES

REACHING—PRAISING—GROWING—SERVING…Together

Our church has adopted these as the five purposes of our church.  These purposes are drawn from the New Testament and the basic meaning and supporting Bible verses for each purpose are as follows:

Reaching:  We reach out to our community and the world with the message that God’s love, forgiveness and salvation are gifts for all people.

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."     Matthew 28:19-20

Praising:  We celebrate together as a community of faith to praise God the Creator, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Jesus replied, " `You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”     Matthew 22:37

Growing:   We intentionally seek ways to grow in spiritual maturity and in our relationship with God.

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.     Romans 12:2

Serving:  We utilize the spiritual gifts God has blessed us with to serve others.

“For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many."     Mark 10:45

Together We fellowship and serve together as a community of believers.

They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, sharing in the Lord’s Supper and in prayer.     Acts 2:42
