The Rev. E. Carl Zimmermann……
A native of the Philadelphia, PA area, Pastor Carl
has lived in Huntington Beach for the past nine years with his wife Bonnie.
They have a married son, Tim, he and wife Tara have given Pastor Carl and
Bonnie two grandchildren.
Pastor Carl is a graduate of Villanova University
and earned his Master of Divinity Degree from the Lutheran Theological
Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. He earned an additional Masters of
Religion Degree from Temple University. Additional continuing education
courses have been completed at Philadelphia Seminary, Princeton Seminary and
The Graduate Theological Union.
He has served parishes in South Carolina,
Pennsylvania and California. Recently he served as the Region Two Chair of
the First Call Theological Education program and currently serves as one of
Pacifica Synod’s mentors to new pastors. He has served on various synodical
committees and task forces. His service to the church and community
includes: Member of the S.E. PA synod’s Committee on Discipline, President
of the Cheltenham Ecumenical Ministerium, Dean of the District, Executive
Board Member of Artman Home – a church related assisted living facility and
Chairman for pastor’s convocation retreats and Chair of Mutual Ministry
Task Force.
Pastor Carl’s hobbies include golf, travel, reading
and, of course, playing with the grandchildren! |
